It is learned that the some 1200 Jews removed from Stettlin have been settled in three small towns in the neighborhood of Lublin where they are said to be now living under conditions of considerable hardship and poverty.

According to reliable information the order for the deportation of the Jews from Schneidemuhl was issued by the same local authority who was responsible for the action taken in Stettin. An arrangement has been tentatively concluded whereby the Schneidemuhl Jews will not be sent to Eastern Poland as has been the case with those from Stettin but will be transferred to other parts of the Reich.
